  • shoepixie: Mostly just...more simple. Fewer boards. That's all. :) I do think a new suggestions topic is needed, though, in light of things I've been hearing recently.

  • medusa: Altering it to what?  Maybe this constitutes a topic?  It seems somehow wrong to discuss the future of the board in the shoutbox, lol!

  • shoepixie: Hey, kids! I'm thinking about rather drastically simplifying the board structure. Thoughts?

Welcome to Clockwork Lullabye!!!

Clockabye has been around, in one form or another, for almost four years. It has amassed an incredible amount of really fantastic writers and creative minds, and given birth to a very close-knit community of writers, artists and roleplayers. We anticipate and look forward to drawing even more friends into the bunch.

Clockwork Lullabye started as a Collaborative Fiction board focusing on quality, community, and strong storytelling. It's inspired art, flash fiction, short stories, and (coming soon) a comic. In the days ahead, Clockabye will be opening up to host all the creativity that it might inspire. Due to this, we're on a temporary hold as far as new staff-generated plots. Please see the Rules and Resources area to find out how to join in.

More setting info for the Fractured <3
« on: March 16, 2008, 02:32:26 PM »
So I think I probably neglected you poor babies so here is some more stuff!   When I figure out more I will put it up!  Also the awesome idea was had of putting you character's calling cart onto their character sheet.  So you can do that if you want to.  Ok yay!

Here is the list of characters so far.  Umm that I know about.

Here is some info about how the society is fun.  Its from the wiki.
Quote
The society in this setting is extremely based on favors, debt, and simple quid pro quo. If you owe someone a favor and they ask you one back, you generally cannot refuse or at least without being considered default. Of course people can abuse this and do all the time but in general it's pretty much universally followed.

Here is some about London!

Quote
The City of London is still a huge sprawling metropolis on the Thames, but many many, many things have changed. For one, the Thames is no longer a river bisecting the city, but the seashore at the southern edge. All that was London (and indeed, England) south of the Thames fell into the sea long ago, with the exception of a few islands and craggy outcroppings and artificial docks.

London isn't even really called London by the people who live in it;iIt's the only city in Britain, so it's just called The City.
And it's divided into a series of city-states that all have their own little governments and way of doing things. Every one is different. Some exist almost entirely in some section of Britain's past, and other have every technological marvel. Some have riches, others are squalid slums. The only thing that connects all these disparate districts if their determination to stay free, and self-ruling...and out of the reaching, ever-hungry claws of Rome.

By the way, Rome doesn't mean just Italy or whatever.  It's sort of the comglomeration of all the churches only run more like a company   ...and of course they want to take over the world.  Why?  just cause!  well someone had to be the bad guy.   so basically besides germany london is the only place not taken over yet.  Which is pretty kickass.

Also on the subject of a voda.  It's basically like a phone only you cant call people on it.  But you can type them in messages and send them just like a sms.  You can also send pics and stuff.   Also you have a page like a livejournal that you can put whatever you want on it but instead of websites theres like...just one big website that everybody has a account on.   But you can take pics with your voda and buy stuff with it because its your credit card too.  Oh also when you give somebody your calling card they stick it in their voda and then they get your info.  Anyhow jes let me know if you wanna know more!
